We recently reported along the long-overdue return of GamesMaster, a pioneering British TV program from the 90s, which will return to screens afterwards this year with an all-bran-new format and line-up. The show will follow co-produced aside Alaska Television receiver and Future's Barcroft Studios (disclosure: Future owns PC Gamer), and now we know who'll be hosting it.

The lead presenter for the rebooted serial is Henry M. Robert Florence, who'll also be working Eastern Samoa a productive consultant on the prove. Florence's previous work in games includes the long-running cult popular Consolevania, on the face of it a reviews show but also a series of gaming consanguineous comedy short pants, and the show Videogaiden which worked along similar lines. Also as games Florence is an deep-seated writer and actor of various shows including Burnistoun and The Scotts, and seems pretty chuffed to be taking on the character.

"I'm hugely honoured that I've been trusted with ushering a new coevals of challengers to their glory OR humiliation, below the unshrinking gaze of the GamesMaster," says Florence. "I look up forward to determination retired how much I can get away with."

Florence's co-hosts are Frankie Baroness Jackson of Lodsworth and Ty Mount Logan. Guard will be a familiar brass to PC Gamer likers, beingness one of the co-hosts of our PC Gambling Testify at E3, but is as wel well-illustrious to esports fans, having presented countless events across games from Counter-Strike: International Offensive to League of Legends. Heck, she's even cropped up in a gritty OR two.

This is Ty Logan's first presenting gig, following his selection as one of E4's faces of the future earlier this year. He's previously worked as an actor and writer, and is apparently "waiting to thrash anyone at FIFA".

The tone ending announcing the new talent has a short endorsement about what to expect from the revamped show: "the serial publication will see celebrities, gaming stars and super fans all shoot part in challenges, races and epic fights. Through virtual battles crosswise a orbit of games, the competitors will hear everything in their power to title a legendary Golden Joystick Trophy. But whilst they play, they'll Be watched over past the omniscient GamesMaster."

You guessed it: no word along the GamesMaster (though I reckon it's Simon Amstell). GamesMaster will premier later o this year on E4's YouTube, before upcoming to the idiot box at a later go out. Sign of the times eh.
